View of the LSU
Parade Ground: During LSU's years as a military academy, cadets
would use the Parade Ground to rehearse military drills. Today,
the shaded, tree-lined field continues to support the University's
military traditions, plays host to numerous campus events, and serves
as a serene location to honor LSU veterans at the War
Memorial and at the nearby Memorial
Tower. Behind and to the left of the Memorial Tower is Tiger
Stadium, home of the LSU Fighting Tigers football team. |
